Dr. Tran Nguyen escaped from Vietnam with her family at the age of three and grew up in Greensboro, NC. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and continued her studies there to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 1999, graduating with honors. Dr. Nguyen worked in public health and private practice for several years in Southern Virginia before returning to North Carolina in 2002 to open her own practice in Wake Forest.
Dr. Nguyen chose dentistry because it enables her to build personal relationships with patients. She enjoys working with each patient one on one, helping make each and every person feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible. Dr. Nguyen enjoys improving patients’ overall well being and quality of life by not only creating beautiful smiles, but by also helping treat important health issues such as obstructive sleep apnea.
Dr. Nguyen enjoys continuing to expand her education; she earned advanced education through the International Congress of Implantologists, completed the advanced curriculum in The Dawson Academy, and also completed UNC Chapel Hill’s Dental Sleep Medicine Mini Residency program. Additionally, she regularly attends several local study groups and meetings.
When not providing care to patients, she enjoys relaxing at home with her son, daughter and family, playing piano, weight training, practicing transcendental meditation, and baking desserts
